Short career outline Anthony Field is a theatre producer, management accountant, and was for many years Vice Chair of Theatre Projects Consultants. He was the Finance Director of the Arts Council of Great Britain for 27 years and pioneered the training of arts administrators in the UK. He lectured at Harvard University’s Business School for Management for nine years. He has produced many stage shows in London, New York and on international tours; co-produced films; and was a director of Heritage Broadcasting Ltd. He joined Theatre Projects as its Finance Director in 1984 and helped to build it into one of the world’s largest companies in the field of theatre design, equipment design and theatre consultancy. In 1977, he received the Queen’s Jubilee Medal and a CBE for his services to the arts. He has been a member of the boards of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and the Royal National Theatre. He was a trustee for the Mander and Mitchenson Theatre Collection and a director of the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts of which he was the chair since its inception. He has worked as a theatre consultant for many projects including the Malta Opera House and Arts Centre, the Athens Concert Hall and for the South African and Hong Kong (SAR) governments. He currently Chairs Arts Interlink and heads his own London-based consultancy Anthony Field Associates Ltd.
