Responsibilities:

Radio 52 stations including national services for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and dedicated indigenous language services, plus 28 zones targeted for ethnic minorities.

Television
* Multi genre television services in Scotland, Wales and
* Northern Ireland.
* Newly launched television channel BBC Alba broadcast solely in Scottish Gaelic.
* 20 hours of television content produced each week in the Welsh language for S4C; including its entire News output.
* 15 Regional television news and current affairs services across England.

Online 60 local Online sites creating an integrated network of local services across the UK, including dedicated language services.

Orchestras 3 National Orchestras in Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland Property Responsible for a portfolio made up of 100 premises across the UK.

Additional Responsibilities:
Chaired Leadership Development Programme for 3 years. Created and implemented a structured programme to develop the management and leadership potential of all BBC line managers.
Led the BBC-wide review of the Knowledge Building portfolio. That review led to a significant strengthening of more distinctive genre – Arts, Science and Religion – while dramatically increasing their on-demand offer.
Led the BBC΄s decentralisation strategy Project North. My role culminated in the announcement of an elaborate multi-partner deal which created the UK’s first Media City, near Manchester; and enabled the planned move of 1,700 BBC staff from London.
